I've had a general interest in the arts since I was a child. I've taken art classes at
various times over the years. I also was a piano student when I was young and am now
taking lessons again. My father was a professional musician and my mother was a
craftswoman.
Specifically, I have been active in the following:
1990-1994 In charge of the Art Rental & Sales section of Rodman Hall, St.
Catharines, Ontario, a volunteer position.
1994-1995 Member of the Board of Trustees of Rodman Hall.
1997-2000 Painted and sold custom furniture in Naperville, Illinois.
2001-Present Member of the Country Garden Club, Perrysburg, Ohio. Held various
positions of authority in this volunteer organization ranging from Vice President to
various committee chairs. This organization raises $30,000 to $40,000 each year for its
projects.
I also have worked in the corporate world. For 17 years I was an employee of
Dana Corporation, at the time a Fortune 500 automotive parts manufacturer in Toledo,
Ohio, and held various positions there ranging from Corporate Librarian to Production
Scheduler at their Transmission Division to name two.
I have a B.S. from the University of Toledo and have quite a few credit hours at
various other universities in Philosophy and Art History.
My husband and I moved our primary residence to Atlantic Beach in February,
2007, and I wish to be involved in this wonderful community. I have been a volunteer
for your Art in the Park last year and this year. Thank you for your consideration,
