Please explain any employment experience, board/committee experience, and/or community volunteer experience
relative to the board/committee applying for.
My current title/occupation is the Director of Policy and Programs for U.S.Green Building Council Florida nonprofit. Work experience includes
over 20 years in sustainability in government,nonprofit and private sectors. I served on Mayor Delaney's and Mayor Peyton's Enviornmental
Advisory Board and believe in sustainability with a pro-business, solutions oriented approach. I am a small business owner of
a local Montessori School with my husband. I am the current Secretary of the Stanton River Bank Rowing Club and volunteer
for other local nonprofits.
Please provide a brief explanation of your interest or any special qualifications you have in this field and your reasons
for wishing to be appointed to this board/committee.
I am interested in serving on the COAB's Environmental Stewardship Committee because I see a community need for education and
proactive stewardship and am a believer of community engagement and dialogue. Per the committee's composition, I have
a Masters in Environmental Management with a specialty in Resource Economics and Policy from Duke University and a deep background in environmental policy,law,management,
community engagement, educational programming and green building construction.
