A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID #2021-08 FOR THE AQUATIC PARK WALKING
TRAIL.
WHEREAS, on February 10`11, 2021, one bid was opened for Bid #2021-08 for the
Aquatic Park Walking Trail project; and
WHEREAS, the bid was from Lanier Plans, Inc. dba KorKat in the total amount of
85,698.36 (including 10% contingency); and
WHEREAS, Lanier Plans, Inc. dba KorKat submitted all required documents in their bid
submittal; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials
necessary for the site preparation and construction of approximately 1,206 linear feet (LF) of 5'
wide rubber surfaced walking trail with pressure treated border surrounding the retention pond at
the Aquatic Dog Park, with a graded and compacted 5" thick stone sub base; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor will be given thirty (30) days to complete the project;
WHEREAS, the project is adequately funded under account 131-6020-572-6300 under
project PR2101 Walking Tract @ Dog Park; and;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid #2021-08 to Lanier Plans Inc. dba
KorKat in the amount of $85,698.36 for the Aquatic Park Walking Trail in accordance with the
bid specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with Lanier Plans, Inc. dba KorKat;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
