After opening the wait on January 11th, it came to our attention that there would need to be an alteration to framing if we were to completely remove soffits as indicated on the new kitchen floor plan provided by the designer. At the time, it appeared to me the framing adjustment was sufficient for the year the house was built. Unfortunately, I should have contacted the architect/engineer to visit the site and prepare the drawings/stamps needed along with a Revision Request/Correction form for the building department to review and approve before starting any alterations to framing. Coastline Services prides itself in staying in compliance with all city and state building codes, regulations and ethics. I accept full responsibility for this decision. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. In the seventeen years Coastline Services has been in business, this is the first violation we've incurred.
