A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW MULCHER ATTACHMENT
FOR OUR CATERPILLAR SKID STEER LOADER.
WHEREAS, on January 21, 2021 staff obtained a Sourcewell quote from Ring Power
Corporation for a new HM315C Mulcher Attachment for our Caterpiller Skid Steer Loader; and
WHEREAS, a demonstration was held in the field on March 25th where this Mulcher
Attachment was used to clear underbrush surrounding a ditch off Mayport Rd. and staff was
thoroughly impressed with the final results as well as the ease of using this mulcher attachment;
and
WHEREAS, this Mulcher Attachment will be utilized in many areas to mulch vegetation
and undergrowth surrounding our stormwater conveyance ditches, allowing for better access for
cleaning and a neater appearance; and
WHEREAS, funds for this Mulcher Attachment are budgeted in the FY2021 stormwater
account 470-0000-538-6400.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a
Purchase Order to Ring Power in the amount of $31,025 for the purchase of a new HM315C
Mulcher Attachment for our Caterpillar Skid Steer Loader.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
