I'm a professor in the Department of Public Health at the
University of North Florida. My expertise and research is
focused on environmental health promotion. Specifically, I
study nature and health and sustainability-related health
behaviors (both the determinants of and the promotion of). Also
since 2019, I've been serving as the director of UNF's
Environmental Center.

This committee would be a great way for me to apply my
research/professional expertise to help my community. I moved
to AB in 2007 when I joined UNF because of the opportunities
for nature contact. I'm passionate about maintaining those
opportunities for others, from a health perspective. I'm also
passionate about making the world, and my community, more
resilient and sustainable. Behavior change and advocacy are
the root to any positive change, and social and behavioral
science guide evidenced-based practices and approaches. I'm
happy to help out where I can.
