•Public beach parking is a major criteria of state cost-share
funding eligibility for beach renourishment
•Last formal parking count and eligibility analysis was completed
in 2014
•Cost-Share eligibility is based on the following:
•Eligible parking spaces must clear and discernable to the public that parking is
allowed
•Must be with ¼ mile walking distance of the beach entrance
•1 Parking Space = 1 Unit = 52.8 FT of shoreline eligibility
•1 Bike Space = ¼ Unit = 13.2 FT of shoreline eligibility w/ 16 spaces max. per access
•Max. eligibility per access is ¼ mile (25 Units) in either shoreline direction
•No overlap in eligibility permitted
