BEACH, FLORIDA,AMENDING SEC. 3-11 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO ALLOW CONSUMPTION OF BEER AND WINE ON
PIIBLIC PROPERTY WITH PERMISSION FROM THE CITY
MANAGER, ESTABLISHING TIME LIMITS FOR SUCH CONSUMPTION, AND
PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the
City of
Atlantic Beach, Florida:SECTION 1. Sec. 3-11 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, is hereby amended
to read as follows:Sec. 3-11
Consumption, possession of
open container upon public property.It shall be unlawful
for any person to consume alcoholic beverages upon
the public properties within the city, or for any person to be
in possession of an open container of an
alcoholic beverage upon the public properties within the
city. Such public property shall include, but not be
limited to, roads, streets, highways,
parks and the ocean beach.u All public consumption
of beer and wine upon city properties as permitted
hereunder shallend nolater
than 11:00 p.m.The applicant agrees
to comply with any reasonable Section 2. This Ordinance
shall take effect immediately upon
