MEMORANDUM
To: The Honorable Mayor and City Commission
From: The Community Development Board
Subject : Board Actions of March 21, 1989
with Recommendations
Your Community Development Board took the following actions at
it 's regular meeting on March 21, 1989:
A Granted a side yard variance at 118 Fourth Street which allows
a pre-constructed utility shed to remain 3' from the property
line.
A Granted a front yard variance which allows construction of
two second floor balconies 3' into the front yard at 134
Fourteenth Street.
A Recommended approval of an exception for automotive repair and
aples at 55 West Eighth Street. The board recommended that the
plicant be limited to servicing no more than five cars at one
VVVVVV time and that a fence be erected.
A Considered an application for rezoning the southwest corner
of Church Road and George Street from RG-2 to CG. The item had
been deferred from the last meeting in order for the applicant to-,.
circulate a petition through the neighborhood and to prepare a
more definitive plan of what he proposed to build. The applicant
presented neither. A motion to recommend approval failed to
carry with a 2 to 2 vote.
A Deferred action on a rear and side yard variance at 609 Beach
Avenue which would allow reconstruction of an existing garage and
a new second floor, 6" from the side property line and 2. 5' from
the rear property line. The board felt it was too great a
deviation and suggested modifying the plans and re-presenting it
to the board.
A Due to illness of his attorney, the board deferred action on
Mark Kredell ' s application for rear yard variance for property at
Eighteenth Street and Beach Avenue.
