These standards are set forth in the International Property Maintenance Code and the Florida Building Code and were adopted as part of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances in Chapter 6, Article II, Section 6-16. We received a complaint regarding your property and a code enforcement inspection at 322 ROYAL PALMS DR was conducted on 8/30/2021. The City of Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances: 1. NATURE OF VIOLATION: A temporary storage container has been placed in the front yard of the home. These containers must be registered with the city and are limited in duration. Your container is not registered with the City. VIOLATION CODE: Sec. 24-65 (b)Temporary storage structures and uses. Enclosed portable structures and accommodations intended only for temporary storage may be used following registration with the city on a form provided by the planning and zoning department,payment of the required fee, subject to the following provisions: (1)Within all residential zoning districts, enclosed portable structures and accommodations intended only for the temporary storage of personal household belongings of occupants of the property may be placed on the property for a period of four(4) four days or ninety-six (96)hours. Registration shall be required for each such use of any temporary storage structure. This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by registering or removing the temporary storage container within 2 days of the receipt of this notice. 2. NATURE OF VIOLATION: Lumber and cabinets are being stored in the front yard of the home and under the carport. In accordance with code,these materials cannot be stored on the property in view of the street and neighbors. VIOLATION CODE: Sec. 24-173.Neighborhood preservation and property maintenance standards. (b) Appropriate maintenance and upkeep.All areas of a lot and structures that are visible from the street or a neighboring property shall be maintained in an acceptable manner,which shall be defined by the following characteristics: 1. Lots are maintained free from litter,trash,debris,discarded belongings, automotive parts,old tires,construction materials,and broken and abandoned items. This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected removing the lumber and construction materials within 10 days of the receipt of this notice. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Failure to correct the violation by the required date may result in this case being referred to the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate resulting in fines up to two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day.
