A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AMERICAN RESCUE
PLAN ACT CORONAVIRUS LOCAL FISCAL RECOVERY FUND
AGREEMENT Y5009; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 was established to provide $350
billion in emergency funding for eligible state, local,territorial and Tribal governments; and
WHEREAS,the City, is an eligible local government; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Treasury has launched the Coronavirus State and
Local Fiscal Recovery Funds; and
WHEREAS,the City,due to its population is considered a Non-Entitlement Unit of Local
Government; and
WHEREAS,the City;as a Non-Entitlement Unit will receive its funding from the State of
Florida Division of Emergency Management; and
WHEREAS,the Division of Emergency Management requires that the Mayor of the City
of Atlantic Beach execute the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund
Agreement Y5009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Atlantic Beach,that
SECTION 1. The Commission authorizes the Mayor to execute American Rescue Plan
Act Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund Agreement Y5009.
SECTION 2.This resolution shall take effect immediately up its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of th City of Atlantic Beach, this 13«' day
of September 2021.
